David Arnow is a founding principal of Castle Hill Partners. Mr. Arnow is responsible for all investment management, disposition and treasury functions. He was previously a principal with Simmons Vedder Partners where he held a senior post for sixteen years. At Simmons Vedder, his functions included complete project oversight, management and financing. Mr. Arnow acted as a managing principal where he executed commercial projects which included office, industrial, senior and student housing as well as land development. Prior to his principal role at Simmons Vedder Partners, Mr. Arnow was with Trammell Crow Company. In 1992, he was promoted to be the youngest Managing Director in the history of the firm. He has over thirty-five years experience in the commercial real estate industry. Mr. Arnow was educated at the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned an MBA as a Sord Scholar. He received his BA in Economics, Magna Cum Laude at Duke University. He also attended the University of Copenhagen where he was a student in The International Business Studies Program.
Victor Ayad
Capital Markets, Workouts and General Oversight
Victor Ayad is a founding principal of Castle Hill Partners. Mr. Ayad is responsible for the structure and procurement of investment capital, workouts and general oversight. Prior to CHP, Mr. Ayad was a co-founder and managing partner of Asset Recovery Fund, Inc and its successor company, Eastbridge Partners, LP. The company was founded in 1991 and was a primary investor in distressed commercial real estate debt. Mr. Ayad led the firm’s institutional financing efforts as well as negotiated workouts and financial re-structure. Prior to Eastbridge Partners, he was an independent workout specialist representing the interests of regional lenders and developers as well as the advocacy of Money Center Banks in New York City. He has worked in the distressed debt industry and structured finance for thirty years. Prior to his career as a workout specialist, Mr. Ayad was a Member of the New York Futures Exchange where he traded equity derivatives. Mr. Ayad was educated at the University of Texas at Austin, School of Finance.
John McKinnerney
Acquisitions, Diligence and Company Oversight
John McKinnerney is a founding principal of Castle Hill Partners. His role includes acquisitions, investment analysis and overall business strategy. Prior to Castle Hill Partners, Mr. McKinnerney was a principal with Simmons Vedder Partners for fourteen years. Before joining Simmons Vedder, he was a Regional Acquisitions Partner with JPI. Mr. McKinnerney is an active member of The Urban Land Institute where he recently served as Chair for the IOPC Gold Product Council. He also serves on the Executive Committee for The University of Texas Center for Real Estate Finance and is a past member of numerous advisory boards including National Multi Housing Council, Housing Works and Real Estate Council of Austin. Mr. McKinnerney was educated at The University of Texas at Austin and has over thirty years’ experience in commercial real estate acquisitions, development and finance.

Yoav Azachi is responsible for the financial management of all Castle Hill Partners activities. His primary functions include financial reporting, cash flow management and tax compliance. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Azachi was Director of Finance at a broker-dealer, Kershner Trading Group. He is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in the State of Texas. Mr. Azachi received his MBA from the University of Louisiana – Monroe and his BBA in Finance from the College of Management in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Leisha Ehlert is responsible for managing development and operations of active investments and feasibility analysis for acquisition opportunities. Ms. Ehlert’s functions include contract negotiation, entitlement procurement, design development and implementation, project financing, marketing and operational strategies, and disposition. Prior to joining Castle Hill Partners, Ms. Ehlert served as Project Manager with Simmons Vedder Partners for seven years, where she performed upper level development oversight across multiple product types including industrial, office, student housing, detached condos, and master planned developments. Ms. Ehlert received her BBA in Finance from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, graduating Cum Laude.

Abby McMahon is responsible for asset management and disposition of active investments, as well as underwriting and due diligence for new investment opportunities. Prior to joining Castle Hill Partners, Ms. McMahon was an associate with Fortress Investment Group, supporting asset management of debt and equity investments in a variety of property types, including retail, office, multi-family, land and development. Prior to that, she worked as an analyst for SunTrust Banks. Ms. McMahon received her BBA in Finance from the University of Richmond, graduating Magna Cum Laude.

Gary Mefford is responsible for overall construction management, entitlement negotiations and zoning. He controls all related budgets and schedule compliance. Prior to joining Castle Hill Partners, he was a Senior Project Manager with the Simmons Vedder Company and Lincoln Property Company, respectively. Mr. Mefford has managed the execution of over five million square feet of commercial real estate in the Central and Southeastern United States. He has over thirty years of experience in this capacity and has performed full construction execution on most types of commercials buildings and land. Mr. Mefford received his Bachelor of Arts from Stephen F. Austin State University.

Associate Financial Analyst
Mariah Harvey-Brown is a financial analyst at Castle Hill Partners. Her primary responsibilities include analysis of financial and legal documents, development of comprehensive financial models and macroeconomic research. Before joining Castle Hill Partners, Mariah was an analyst in the New York office of Beach Point Capital, a hedge fund specializing in opportunistic credit and distressed debt. At Beach Point, she performed analysis on credit and equity investments in both public and private markets. Mariah graduated Magna Cum Laude from Tufts University with a dual degree in Economics and Environmental Science, where she also played varsity soccer for all four years. She also serves as a board member and co-treasurer of the New Land Foundation, a nonprofit organization which funds programs in conservation, environment, civil rights and leadership development. She is also a board member of Hidden Leaf Foundation, which provides grants to organizations that promote progressive social change through leadership development and trainings.
